American Artist
Ronald E. Langlois
|
Mr.
Langlois' distinctive style was formulated while he was an illustrator
for the U.S. Army, in Europe, from 1969 through 1972. He attended
various art schools and later studied under distinguished Chicago
illustrator, Bob Mueller for five years refining his craft. Among
Mr. Langlois' accomplishments, he sold over 1,000 pieces of art,
including oils on canvas and wood, acrylics, watercolors, pen and
inks and colored pencil drawings over the past twenty years. This
American Artist has published cartoonist and illustrated a number
of training manuals.
Although
skilled in several different mediums, American Artist Ron Langlois
prefers to mix pen and ink and watercolors. This technique has a
unique finished appearance. He believes that mixing the two mediums
creates a unique affect to his work, that makes the colors pop off
the page.
His
pen and ink drawings are unbelievable. With the amount of detail
that Mr. Langlois applies to his pen and ink work, the final product
appears almost photographic. It is difficult to believe that someone
can produce the type of work that he does with only a pen.
Due
to numerous requests over the past several years from people that
wanted his artwork at an affordable price, Mr. Langlois agreed to
start producing a limited amount of signed and numbered lithographs.
His first series are a selection of four colored action sports fishing
pictures and four pen & ink landscapes. He is presently
working on a second series that will be released by the third quarter
of 2004.
Mr.
Langlois' studio is in Boca Raton, Florida, where he has worked
on a number of projects including his most recent rendering of a
seven-foot marlin with a school of dolphin and tuna. That painting
appears in this site along with copies of his lithographs.
