Tarpon
in the Weeds:
Tarpon
fishing in south Florida is quite popular and I thought that they
were an interesting fish to paint. When I was almost done with
this painting, I noticed that there was a perfectly round black
spot in the upper left portion of the painting. When I saw it,
I was so upset that I was going to throw it away and start over
again. Just before I tore it up, I realized that the spot looked
like an eye, so I painted a blue fish being startled. It adds
additional interest to the work and I was pleased with the final
outcome.
